Freshman Year

Honors level classes in all subjects for eligible students; AP Human Geography*; one term of Computer Programming & one term of Public Speaking.

*AP Human Geography

Explore how humans have understood, used, and changed the surface of Earth. You will use the tools and thinking processes of geographers to examine patterns of human population, migration, and land use.  You will learn how to connect geographic concepts and processes to real-life scenarios and develop and understanding of information shown in maps, tables, charts, graphs, infographics, images, and landscapes.

 

Sophomore Year

Honors level classes in all subjects for eligible students; AP Art History* & up to two other AP courses (selections are AP World History, AP Computer Science A or AP Computer Principles), CUNY College Now

 

*AP Art History

AP Art History is an introductory college-level art history course. Students cultivate their understanding of art history through analyzing works of art and placing them in historical context as they explore concepts like culture and cultural interactions, theories and interpretations of art, the impact of materials, processes, and techniques on art and art making, and understanding purpose and audience in art historical analysis.                                                                                                                                                    

Junior Year

Honors classes in all subjects for eligible students.  Choice of AP Classes (three recommended):  English Language, Psychology, US History, Statistics, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Physics,  Computer Science A, Computer Science Principles, Italian, Spanish.  CUNY College Now, Trailblazers College Enrichment Program**, Arista Honor Society**
