At New Utrecht High School, we are dedicated to providing a rigorous, innovative education that fosters critical thinking, creativity, and resilience. Through personalized support, diverse opportunities, and a commitment to excellence, we prepare our students to excel in a dynamic world and contribute meaningfully to society. Our mission is to empower students to build rewarding careers, achieve long-term economic security, and become positive forces for change in their communities.
Instruction
Build teacher capacity to design and deliver coherent instruction in order to develop in our students the ability to examine ideas critically, fearlessly ask questions and make connections between the curriculum and the world around them. This can be accomplished through the analysis of data, strategic planning and an emphasis on the utilization of literacy-based strategies.
Culture
To foster an environment through the collective efforts of the NUHS community in order to understand and celebrate our school’s diversity, treat others with empathy, and improve the success rate of our students. This can be accomplished by collaborating with specific stakeholders to provide the necessary support services in order to meet the needs of our students and decreasing student absenteeism.
